These Thursday courses are designed to help those studying herbal medicine to deepen their relationship to the plants through an understanding of plant anatomy and physiology, plant structures and function, history and ecology, classification and naming, and last, but not least identification and medicinal uses. Herbal Clinic Circle
Beginning in January Herbal Clinic Circles will start up again. Join Cynthia Thomas, Herbalist, on the last Sunday of each month through May, to gather as student practitioner Herbalists and mentors to help clients reach their health goals. Additional dates and guest mentors, including Matthew Wood, will be added throughout the year. Fees for clients are on a sliding scale, and students pay a small fee. The Herbal Clinic Circle is a way to provide affordable health care for clients, while sharing and honing the clinical skills of student practitioners in a supportive, experiential environment. Botany for the Herbalist
Join me to learn Botany in 2012! This past summer I taught a 40-hour botany course for the first time. It was a great adventure, including a steep learning curve not just for the students, but for me as well. I was very happy with the results (in spite of some challenges), and all the students demonstrated that they had learned a great deal. I was very proud of the effort that was put into the class by everyone! Please consider joining me on an amazing journey to better know and appreciate our green allies.
